First Natural Edge Bowl

First Natural Edge Bowl

This is my first natural edge bowl. The wood is Osage Orange.
Good job!! That is not always the easiest wood to work with and keep the bark on. Id like to see the foot.

In response to your request for constructive criticism here goes.
The shape is good for the top part of a bowl but needs a foot. About where the dark shadow begins a convex curve to a foot about 1/3 to 1/4 the diameter would make the piece more graceful.
Try studying the galleries here and on other woodturning sites for ideas on how to create a pleasing shape.
I also like turning Osage Orange. I often sand to about 2000 grit and leave the wood raw (no finish).
The workmanship on all the pieces looks good.
