Desert Storm

This beautiful piece of mesquite burl I got at the National AAW symposium In Portland from Nave’s Sawmill. It was the only piece of wood I bought from the whole symposium. I was looking for something unique and something I’ll never find again. I believe this wood did just that.

This bowl is 6.5” wide and 3” tall. I picked out this wood because of how thick the bark layer was, and I figured it would be a challenge to keep on. I’m glad to say it all stayed on.
