Cut Edge Bowl

Maple. Cherry, Padeuk
That's an interesting scalloped look Jim. Did you freehand the cuts or use a jig+router?

I suppose a router would work, but I prefer a spindle sander. I use a circle template and pencil the edge, then sand away the excess. I rough it with 60 grit and finish with 220. The risk of tear-out is minimized with this method. Thanks for asking.
