Crepe Myrtle Bowls

These 2 Crepe Myrtle bowls came from a tree that was over 60 years old and destroyed during Hurricane Gustav. The top 3 pictures are different views of a bowl that measured 13" x 2.5". The bowl in the bottom 2 pics measured at 6.5" x 4". It was "Frankenstined" back to health using a mixture of epoxy and coffee grounds. My customer commissioned me to make these bowls to give to his mother; she really loved that tree and sat under it everyday.
