Copper & Blackwood Candleholder

I decided to get back to my metal spinning studies now that the big turning season is finally over. The next video by Terry Tynan was on complicated forms and harder materials, so after watching it, I went into the shop to play. The base and top are hand spun copper. The middle is a piece of african blackwood I turned today as well. The whole piece is 8 1/4" tall and 4 1/2" dia. at the base. The "cup" will hold a 2 1/2" candle. The blackwood is finished with Mylands Friction Polish.
