7" Bowl in Huon Pine

I used black paint to fill the base of the carvings in this bowl - was a bit of a mistake as it bled into the timber a fair bit. I had a lot of trouble sanding it back. There are still some 'dirty' bits left.
Excellent work Mark. We as makers are sometimes too critical of our work. I tried to find your "mistake" almost impossible to find. You did good fixing it. I like that this one has a bit of how did he do that factor. Aloha from Maui.

Thanks Emiliano. I was in Hawaii a couple of days ago. July 4 actually. First time - on my way to mainland USA. Lovely place. Great weather!

As someone who is still a little green in wood turning, there is a lot of “ how did he do that? “ factor . I’m scratching my head on how that rim was done. Beautiful work!
