Very interesting and challenging. It's nice that you have access to metalworking machines. I enjoy puzzles so I have been thinking about how I might attempt this. Alas, my only metalworking tools are a hacksaw and a file.
I'm sure that there are multiple ways of doing it. I figured out one way it could be done, but it would require some fancy machining to make the tools that are sturdy enough. The biggest challenge would be the last two corners.
Looking at Konstantin's media page I see a similar piece labyrinth turning that gives a clue as to its execution. The blank would have to start as a donut with a bite taken out of it in order to cut in from the center with a series of shaped tools. Very clever and requires some serious toolmaking skill if I am right. Also probably a metal lathe as Bill suggests
In comments Konstantin says" it is forbidden to publish the technology and tools here". Is that correct? I see nothing in the site rules to suggest it.
