Streak #1

This is one of a small series of pieces using an elongated triangle shape for the base. A little departure from my usual split bowl pieces. I have some ideas to expand on this basic shape, so we'll see what happens.

The turning is 2 shallow bowls glued together so it's very light. It's held to the base with magnets.

Alan,
I love these two pieces and all your other work as well. You must be a real sci-fi fan (especially Star Trek) because I can sure see the influence in your design process. Keep up the great job and thanks for sharing.

Alan,

Very interesting juxtaposition between the shapes and colors, I like it. Do you use magnets intending the piece to be picked up, rotated on the base or ?

Thanks for sharing this dynamic piece.

Alan, the design & crispness of your work is always an absolute pleasure to view.
Thanks for sharing these couple of pieces :)
