Baby Rattle

Turned this little rattle for the Clubs Presidents challenge. Turned from Maple Burl and Walnut, bulb measures 2 1/4"d The buld is hollowed through where the handle is attached and hollowed to a thickness of 1/8" or less, for the sound effect 4 popcorn kernels were used. the pen is there for a size comparison. The pen itself is a Triton Rollerball kit done in Maple Burl with a C.A. finish.
I view a piece such as this rattle as a gifted keepsake piece given to the parents of the child, ( not to be given to infant to play with ) as inhertantly a small child could easily break such a piece and do itself harm.

C & C always welcomed.

John
John, you could say each of these is a piece of straight forward turning, but I think this is a Classy combo, the form, the timber & the presentation.
Very well done
