If you wouldn't mind, as a newbie turner I would appreciate a klunker slipping into your line up once in a while? Too many really nice pieces showing up in rapid succession is a bit daunting!
Seriously, this whole series you just posted are all beautiful. To me they just beg to be held and seen. Very very nice. Thanks for sharing all these.
Dave, I'm sure there are some clunkers already posted. My taste does not always conform to what others expect. Most folks want to see flowing curves with no flat spots or straight lines. I on the other hand like to use straight lines on certain pieces. They don't go over well but I don't care! I believe you need to know the rules, but then you need to break them at times.
I don't comment often...but pieces like this, to me, are the epitome of woodturning art. Beautiful, spot-on form, great use of the wood, excellent choice and exceution of the finish...it is very, very, nice.
