Carved Vessel

From a series of carved vessels I made earlier this year - this one is ebonized cherry - 5.25" x 5" x 4" - all hand carved using traditional gouges with a lacquer finish. I typically try to create a flow and sense of energy in my work - in this case using the alignments of the cuts and the fields created by the major lines to keep the eye moving and exploring the form. They are nice to hold also. The crisp lines help make a strong impression. All comments welcome. This is my first post to the AAW photo forum.
