Carolina Cherry Bowl

Carolina Cherry Bowl

Carolina Cherry bowl. This bowl has some twisted grain and figure to it. 8 1/2" x 3" finished with walnut oil and briwax
I'm not a big fan of walnut oil as a finish, but it sure brought out the grain on this cherry piece. That's some stunning grain.

Thanks Jeff. I found walnut oil to work very well if you play with it a bit. I sand the piece to about 600 or higher, slather the walnut oil on and let it soak in for a few minutes. Then I burninsh it with a paper towel and wax after. This makes a quick finish for production items that is really easy to keep up and repair if necessary.
