Candy Dish with Acrylic Lid

Candy Dish with Acrylic Lid

spalted tamarind with ebony finial and acrylic lid. It's a candy dish for a friend's birthday. First thing I've turned other than some pens in almost 2 years.
Great looking candy dish, Mark. I knew it was your work the instant that I saw it. Your signature finial was what gave it away. The only problem is that it is empty. :D

Thanks Bill. I'm honored that you remember my finial, and I mean that. I plan to fill it (again) :) before giving it away.

Hi Will, and thanks. The dish is 5.5 in diameter by about 12 high to the top of the finial.

Nice idea, Mark. That clear lid just leads to the temptation to clear out the goodies inside ... at least it would in my case! Out of sight - out of mind. ;)
