Box Elder Burl Bowl

Box Elder Burl Bowl

Most of the bowls I turn have an average wall thickness of about 3/8 inch, some more, some less. But once in a while I turn one of these “donut” shaped bowls with thick, round side walls. I love the feel of the roundness and this shape lent itself to displaying the nice figure of the burl. About 10 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches high. Finished with 5 coats of wipe-on poly.
