Big leaf maple burl hollow form

Big leaf maple burl hollow form

I tried to make it look like a hollow for was emerging from this hunk of burl. About 9 inches high, finished with shellac sealer and lacquer sprayed from a can.
I like the fact that you kept the really interesting aspects of the wood and made the hollow form with a nice finish.
