Apple Twins

A friend of mine is a beekeeper and brings me things he finds while out tending bees. He knows a lot about different trees and wood so it's usually something unique. A lot of it is old, punky and sometimes barely worth burning but I can almost always find at least something inside to work with. He brought a few pieces of apple recently. Some punky areas and the pith was way off center but I got two vases from it. 6 1/2" and 6". If you've ever worked with apple you know it twists, warps and goes through a lot of shape change as it dries. Part of the look I think.
