a recent tidbit

Some of you may know the story when 12 of us that took over Arrowmont for a week without an instructor. Well we did and had a super time. This a lidded box I turned while there. The wood was given to me by Dale Larson as were all the pieces turned for Empty Bowl's at the AAW Symposium. Blowing a little smoke, all the bowls we turned were some of the very first sold, pretty cool.

Anyway, this is a maple burl (I think, could be Madrone) with a Ebony finial with a small surprise in the lid. Finished with WOP and buffed.
As always all C & C's welcome.
