2212 Big Leaf Maple burl.

Finished 6/8/2023, this Big Leaf Maple burl is 9 7/16" x 2 5/8". Sanded to 600gt, Danish oil natural, Beall 3-step buffed. I chose not to undercut the interior rim, because the exterior rim would have been too thin for my liking if I had attempted it. Twenty two detail grooves. Nice chatoyance in areas where the light reflects just right! Origin of this wood is somewhere in Canada, I believe. Nice burl wood to work with.....turns easily!
