1791 Ash salad bowl

Finished 10/4/19, 1791 ash salad bowl, 13" x 4 7/8", 2lb 12.4oz, sanded to 600gt+0000 steel wool, Fully cured Danish oil natural + Lemon oil wax, I normally don't do very many salad bowls, but occasionally have a large piece that is perfect for the purpose. This one is extra thick, and intended for heavy abusive use from the end user. Since the foot is small, there is extra thickness at the bottom intended to add weight there, for stability while in use. -----odie-----
A beautiful bowl Odie! You have a very nice ogee curve on the profile. I love the contrasting heart and sap wood. With the detail on the rim and the excellent finish make this outstanding.
