Oops. I hit enter to early so here is the info.

6 x 7 Sycamore / Dye
Finished with Lacquer.

My goal here was to make it look like there was a hollowform within a hollowform and you are looking through the wave into the inside piece. (see next photo for view through top)
 
another beautiful wave bowl, I will not ask THE question,, But what type and color of dye, it worked very well with the grain of sycamore...again NICE job.

Larry: The dye is black Transtint. I like it because you can control the density and it sets up nicely so it doesn't bleed when adding a final finish.
