The Great Struggle - struggle

I've translated the title "Le Grand Combat" of Henri Michaux as close as possible, but the text itself is untranslatable, using words not significant in French itself, significant only through its musicality.
Something like poems of Jim Morrison but even more surrealist...

This poem describe what you see:
a terrible struggle between two "creatures" with one's final advantage.

To speak about the piece itself, it's hawthorn guzzled by the worms, the winner is a shell-splinter of W W I.
