Textured Maple Bowl With Burnings

Textured Maple Bowl With Burnings

Heres another bowl in, what I have come to call, the Peyoke style. It is made of Maple and it is 5 3/4 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. In addition to the burning this bowl also features a textured band.

The textured band certainly gives the bowl a tactile effect, making the handling of the bowl a different and enjoyable experience. This area was kept natural without any finish while the other natural areas were finished with EEE Cream and Shellawax. The burned and stained area was finished with a coat of wipe-on poly.
Interesting style it looks like a bowl within a bowl with two different woods. Well done.
