Spalted Maple Plate

This is a piece of spalted maple that I collected last year from a dead tree. The plate measures 9" x 2". If you look close the wood grain looks like a small water fall so I decided to call this piece my waterfall plate. The plate had a inclusion with a hole through the center of it and I used coffee grounds to fill it. I wonted to use this piece because of the waterfall effect. Sanded plate to 600grit and finished with 3 coats of danish oil and buffed and polished with the beall system.
