Bradford Pear, spiral carved and textured, then scorched with a torch. About 9" dia. I'd like comments. Personally, I think it looks too much like ceramic and not wood.

Personally, I think its a fine piece of turned wood.
 
I agree with Jake. It's a wonderful piece. I think it's one of your best pieces. The carving/scorched look is facinating. VERY well done.

Thanks guys for your thoughts. Scott, I did the texturing with a couple of flame shaped carbide bits used on their side with a Dremel tool. This caused depressions, the edges of which scorched.
