Reproduction Antique Monaural Stethoscopes

After seeing an episode about the development of the first stethoscope on Mysteries at the Museum I researched the subject and attempted to reproduce some of the many models associated with famous physicians of the era. They range in size from 3 1/2" for the reproduction of the Pinard's Horn frequently seen in the PBS series "Call the Midwife" to 11" for the Pauper's stethoscope so called because doctors of the time preferred a longer model when treating the paupers and chronically ill of the work houses. Altogether I turned 28 of these stethoscopes some of which ended up in the hands of my cadre of doctors. The rest are part of the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine Country Doctor Museum.
