'Man O War'

Big Leaf Maple Burl. turned thin then pierced. The piercing was carved, coated with limeing wax and brushed off. Inside the piercing has been airbrushed with interferance paint thus giving it the 'Man O war' colors. The sculpture has been mounted on a grape vine

A beautiful and original piece of work.

I presume that is the infamous "Portugese Man O' War" - one of my little "friends" from the Texas coast.

Thanks for the 10 Frank. You presumed right, another 'little friend' from Texas. Could be a real 'stinger' just like the superbowl will be.
