14" Maple. Finished with Tung Oil on the exterior and Walnut Oil on the interior so the client can use it as a practical bowl.

This piece is beautiful. I would also like to understand the process of turning this piece. Are there any videos or process descriptions out there that anyone can link us to? Where in Southern California are you located John?

I'm going to guess it was done with a fluting jig and hand turned to get wave with spiral straight bit.
A very nice piece!
