The woodburned decoration on this Sycamore Vase was inspired by the work of the the Dutch artist M. C. Esher almost a century ago. It shows a flock of birds flying to the right while their distorted shadows fly to the left.

Dennis.......I thought of M.C.Escher after looking a little closer at your turning! He certainly was a master of illusion, and had an incredible imagination.
