Honey bowl

Honey bowl

9” x 2.75” honey locus finished with tung oil.
I like your finish and grain of bowl, for me I would like to see something done with Crack but not filled, very interesting.

I'd keep it as a safety reminder. Lucky you didn't wear that chunk on your face! Broken bowls sell well for you?
Most of the bowls that I sell have some form of defect in the wood cracks or holes. This one has what I would call a minor defect. If you can eat soup from it it’s not art.

If I was a betting man I would bet you a beer that this was black locust. The heartwood of honey locust I have seen has tones that are much more on the pink/orange/red scale
