Eucalyptus burl necklace with black glass beading

This is a recent project. Sometimes the wood says it all, so the turning/detailing is best kept to a minimum.

The 8 small pieces were cut from a single turned disk then sliced (consider it segmented wood turning for dyslexics).

The larger piece started as a rectangle... there was a lot of "cutting air" during the turning, then sliced to the angular shape afterwards.

There's a matching set of earrings too.
