Ancient Scottish stones dating back 5200 years with most being found around Aberdeenshire in the northeast of Scotland . There have been many thoughts as to how they were used. Weights for fishing nets, weapons, used in cleaning skins, and as memorial pieces There are about 425 of these today in museums, most reside in Scotland . 10 more in work . 3 inch sphere the same size as those in the museums
