America

I seldom make a statement about what I make, but this time I’m making an exception. I started this piece a few months ago and kept putting it aside, so today I finished it. This piece represents a wingless American Eagle (the public with no power) rising, the gold leaf splashed on the base is our diminishing wealth. This multimedia piece was turned on two axes on the lathe, carved textures, milk paint and gold leaf.
