AAW December 2011 Contest

The hollow form is approximately 2" x 2". With the finial the total height is approximately 3.5". The hollow form is cast PR made to look like opal. The finial is made from Ebony. This is my first posting so comments and suggestions are welcome.
PR is polyester resin. This is the same material used to make some pen blanks only I decided to try a few hollow forms. I wish the picture was a little clearer as it does have a translucent look. If you look close you can see some of the pinkish hues swirling through it.
