white "dots" in segmented turning

I am working on a design for a segmented turning that requires stark white dots. I am leaning towards drilling holes in the individual segments and injecting them with a white liquid (dyed epoxy?). Any ideas of what I can use. I will probably drill it before turning but fill them after.

How about some unspalted holly?

Seriously, give a try with some stark white easily worked stuff like UHMW plastic, cut with a plug cutter. If you're really thinking fancy, go to an instrument supply and get some mother-of-pearl dots.

Hollis If they are only 1/32 just rub white shoe polish in the hole. You may have to wait for it to dry and then put some more on to make it flush. Seal it with shellac. Drywall mud would also work. You will probably have to seal the wood before you do this or the wax or drywall mud will get in the pores.
You may think this is stupid but look around and try it. The tongs from plastic forks work great if they are round. Some of them are.
"Inlace" which you can buy from Woodcraft comes in white. You can mix it up let it start to harden until it gets like toothpaste and then force it in the holes. It's more like an epoxy. Overfill the holes and carve and sand them flush afterwords.

Grizzly.com has mother of pearl dots.
I never turned the material but I did scroll saw it once, it's hard. Grizzly also has material that is used in gituar making that might fit your needs.

You could go to a hobby shop that sells model supplies. A company that makes plastic rods in various shapes for modlers has some 1/32" rods in 12" lengths that could be cut and glued in. "Evergreen" is the name of the company, although for holes that small I would use some sort of white filler as suggested above.
