Looking for some suggestions on how to use this burl. I think it’s maple.

I could probably get a couple of small bowls (6-7”) out of it. Or several pepper mills.

What would you make with it? How would you cut it? Picture is with 12” ruler.

By the look of it you a natural bisection going already, so if you were thinking of cutting that's a good place to start. Well, what do you normally turn start with that, perhaps in a small version of it. A lot of folk often have a few lying around awaiting inspiration . That happens to all of us, heck I have 1/2 a dozen or so sitting on the shelf for over ten years awaiting a thunder clap of inspiration :). Either way start out small if your not sure, turning something big with the possibility of not being happy with it at the end is something none of us would want
