Anyone doing Jerry's tilt wedges? I just got a AMT saw that I am using only to experiment with tilt wedges. It is a whole new experience.

In Jerry's video he talks about tilting the blade to cut wedges for segmented rings. It allows using the two fences in a whole new way. Here are two rings done at a first cut. I still need to work with them.FirstTilt_resized.jpg

Gary,
Yes, it is hard to see in picture but the top ring is done that way. I set the fences to cut 8 wedges, only cut 10. The 10 adds up to 450 degree circle so you need to subtract 90 degrees. I do this by adding 5 reversed cut wedges at 18 degrees. The result is 72 degrees -- 2 cut at 45 and one reversed cut at 18.
