Wanted - 220v remot switch for dust collector

Karl, costs are depending on what you may or may not have on hand and what you have to buy. I had to buy the box, contactor (relay), Xmas light outdoor wireless remote, and some 12/3 extension cord wire, 220v cord plug, and 220v cord recepticle. But, I had the rest of the electrical stuff like, cable/box clamps, wire connectors, 120v plug, 14g wire. So I think I ended up spending around $45. A new Long Ranger 220v remote costs around $75 plus shipping. If something goes wrong with that over time it's an expensive repair and extra remotes to place at other locations in your shop can be expensive if you want to add the. With this homemade version the major components that can fail are the contactor about $10-$15 and the Wood brand wireless Xmas light control from Menards at about $12. If you have to buy everything then your cost will go up but again replacement parts are easy and inexpensive if ever needed.

NOTE: I did not use the contactor/relay referenced in Dominic Greco's write up. I used the one in the video from Amazon as it was less expensive and does the same thing. The parts I used are referenced in the description of the youtube video.
