I was just reading Jean LeGwin's July Director's note in which she drew attention to the awesome CCC works. http://www.woodturner.org/info/news/letters/7_10_board_letter.html

My purpose in posting is that I found it frustrating that I could only place each entry in one category, including Best in Show. I felt that Best in Show should over-ride all of the individual aspects such as Artisitc, Fantasy and Technical, and should be eligible for one of those cathegories in addition to best in Show. Or did I misinterpret the guidelines on the ballot?

The way I interpreted the best in show is that it could be one of my 3 category picks or it could be a 4th piece.

occasionally I vote a 4th entry for best in show. usually because I think another piece in the category represents the theme of the category better.
