The president of our club picked an 11” vase with two embellishments for our next presidents challenge. I thought since I had to have embellishments that I would do a basket illusion vase. Here are some pictures of the progress. I still have one or two things to do and then put a finish on it.

Rusty, this is awesome. I notice that this vase is not supported by a steady rest yet your basket weave is very intricate. I'm confused. Didn't you experience vibration as you hollowed the vase?

Looks like it worked well!

I’ve wanted to try them for a long time. Finally bought the set at the TAW symposium. I’m not much interested in doing basket illusion but thought they might be a nice addition to my texturing arsenal.
I think you will like them, very easy to use. I use them without a handle. I think a handle would make them harder to use.
