Hi,
Thanks to turners that have visited my site, many referred from here, and the patience shown while waiting for new material. The site has been updated twice in the last month and there is now much new material and links of general interest in design related matters. New companion site is also on-line.

www.woodturningdesign.info and
www.woodturninggallery.com - more links etc to be added soon.

I would like to remind the web nervous these are personally funded sites with no commercial sponsorships attached so if you use the mail on-site with queries or suggestions your e-mail address will not be disclosed or used in any way.

Early Happy Christmas and a Productive New Year to everyone.

For those who have visited my site and would like to try basic 3D for free please follow the link below where 3DPlus3 can now be downloaded for free.

If after downloading there is a need for suitable wood textures etc I will load a gallery on the site with downloadable examples or I can e-mail, please let me know if you require them.

Site update

The problem with a free content site is that the only indication of its usefulness to others is whether any feedback is forthcoming. Although there have been many visits and downloads, I have no indication as to whether the information/tutorials are helpful or otherwise to users/viewers. I have had two mails in the months that the site has been online and no suggestions or requests for particular aspects of the site to be developed. Because of this I have to assume there is very limited interest. Further tutorials were ready to upload including useful printable design grids and instructions for using phi, 3rds, using Chaos Theory techniques and software for random generation of design ideas and more on easy 3D. However I have decided for the time being to reduce the content of the site to a page containing the existing tutorials and not add any further material. It was an interesting but time consuming experiment.

In due course the site will be developed to show my outcomes using some new techniques, combining traditional and modern methods of origination and presentation.

Current content will remain online for a couple of weeks while I redesign the website so if anyone wishes to copy links or existing material etc there will be a short time delay.

Happy designing and turning
