I have several unknown wood pieces and blanks yet to be worked. Several wood experts have given me their opinion and they all differ, this is not to complain. Most of the wood is tropical. Does having an unknown wood hinder a sale? I do not sell at shows , crafts fairs and the like but may give it a go this summer.

I don't think I have let it hinder a sale, but generally market price of the wood is dictated by the species, the figure and availability.
As well as if you are among the more eco-conscious, unknown tropical species would mean unregulated harvesting, or SITES listed or more.
