My latest creation. This was inspired by an August 2014 article in American Woodturner magazine about tangential twists. I learned a lot while making some mistakes. The glue up didn't go exactly as planned and I had to cut the piece apart and that is why not all the pieces are the same width. It measures 6 inches wide and 7 inches tall and is made from walnut and maple.

Good job. I cut that article out and was going to start on one when I decided to get married and moved. I'm now in my new workshop and have the new to me bandsaw tuned up. So maybe it won't be too far off.

Nice! Unique "twist" to segmented turning. I like the look of contrasting woods. Gives me an idea for fishing rod reel seats. Thanks for sharing.
