My choice for TOTW for March 31st, 2025 is “Rhonda and Fisherman” by Steve Bonny.

Steve has created a wonderful sculptural piece with a personal and familial subject – his daughter’s pets. At first glance it looks like there is no turning involved. A lot of work here – turning, cutting, gluing, shaping, sanding and blending … all while holding onto those rather large and awkward forms. Very creative !!!
Maybe I should join the SWT just to see the follow-along project.
The profile of the dog looks like my dachshund of many years ago.

I’m pleased to choose Steve’s piece for his first TOTW. Well done, sir!

Thanks Tom. I really appreciate this!

Huge congrats on the feature, and for this piece in general. I find it quite moving in its materials/form as well as its content. Just beautiful work. The only downside is that I can't choose it for the feature on this forum or on WoW--other folks beat me to it. :D
