Hi all. Apologies for the day-delay in posting this. My choice for this week's featured turning is Ellen Starr's Lotus Temple. It is a fascinating composition, made from many components comprising several different materials. The end result is a sculpture that blurs the line between fantasy and reality. Have I seen this place before, if even in photos? I don't think so, but I would not be surprised if there was a Lotus Temple out there somewhere (of course, there are places called Lotus Temple, including this famous one). Ellen, your choice of (and treatment of) materials is excellent, and your photograph does a nice job of representing your piece. Great work all around, and my choice for Turning of the Week. Well deserved!
