Here's a link I just saw about an update. The way I'm reading it, the law has been postponed for a year to get things worked and finalized. At least they're not rushing into things. We still need to talk to our congress men and women about your thoughts about it so when it does goes into effect in 2010 it covers what it's suppose to.

The article I read noted that they also stated that retailers still had to comply, but the article noted that this was confusing considering considering the vote.
 
It is confusing, but then most govt regs tend to be that way. Reading between the lines, I see this as a response to the Chinese quality problems the toy importers had a year or so ago. I do think we need to reach out to our congress critters and let them know what this will do to the small business folks.
