Remember when a person could buy the different cutters for the Sorby Texturing tool?

I can only find the tool or the tool with a complete set of cutters. Does anyone know where I can get just the additional cutters for my texturing tool? They come in 5-6 sizes.

Thanks!

Several places have them I just recently saw an article where some guy bought the cutter and parts to make it for less than $50

Craft Supply sells the replacement cutters individually or in the set. FYI

My question is do you have the Spiral rest and cutter for this tool. Very few catalogs list the complete package texturing and spiral set. Lee Valley offers the complete package but the spiraling attachments almost duoble the price. When so few catalogs carry it I get suspisious that it is a good option. The spiralling aspect looks like fun so I have been draging my feet on buying the texturing tool until I decide if I need it.

And before someone starts on the word 'need'. Tell me if it works, how tough is the learning curve, tricks etc. Then you can jump on 'need'. What I really 'need' is to win the lottery or have a long lost dead Uncle leave me enough cash that I can stay home a turn all the time.

Fun tool

I bought one last thanksgiving at woodcraft when I went throught Tulsa. It is a lot of fun to play with and works just like they say. My advise though is to watch the demo video on their web site or that comes with their catalog. It is very instructional and makes your first try much easier.

This is a great, easy to learn tool. The video on their web site will bring you up to speed quickly. Take about 1/2 hour of time and a cylinder of wood and you will have the tool figured out.

Thanks

Vernon and Rocketman,
Thanks guys maybe next week I'll order the whole package, Texture and Spiral. I can see alot of uses for both.
