i need to put some tools in handles that i do not have yet what do you feel is the best handle to use ?

I've been happy with Oneway handles and Trent Bosch handles - the latter can be filled with shot to improve vibration dampening and give the tools some "weight". Got about 4 Bosch handles so far... I have also used Hosaluk handles which work well too!

Alternatively, you can turn your own handle, add a ferrule, and join the progression of turners having done so for hundreds of years....

I still do both....

I prefer wooden handles. I do use Kelton handles for McN tools and for hollowing tools.

I prefer making my own. I have a couple of Bigstick tool handles that I like and they are great for traveling because I don't need as many tools but the R8 collets that they use require tool shanks that are within about .010" of dead on what ever size the collet is. This means that some English tools won't fit without some grinding of the tang. The good point of these handles is that it is very quick to change tools.
