Hi from the UK.

Based on the South Coast (Sussex) been turning for three years (very intermittently)
Member of a couple of local clubs as well as AWGB.
Most Interested in things that are a little different, coloured, textured, carved pieces.
Looking forward to learning and sharing.

Here's what I'm working on at the moment, Not sure if its best described as 'work in progress' or 'sanding in progress'....

Unsure whether to leave the underside as is, I like the difference between the topside and the underside.
May completely square the edges off, the outside edge of the tenon needs to go.
 
Piece is looking good. My two cents: round the bottom of the bowl, don’t square the edges, and make the bottom details match the top. Of course, it’s your piece so the decisions are yours to make.
