Hmmmmm, when I saw the picture, I said to myself, "that sure does look like a telephone pole". They grow all over ther place around here, but I believe that they were all planted because they grow in straight rows.
Hey, we have that species up here in PA too. Only I think they grow wild like strawberrys, but instead of the runners stretching out underground they go through the air. At least all the ones we have up here seem to be connected that way.
