I have posted the following text to the AAW homepage and the Symposium update page:

There is construction in Kansas City. The I35 bridge over the
Missouri River is closed. Take I435 South (the sign says to St. Louis)
stay on I435 around Kansas City and look for exit 77B. There are signs
for the Overland Park Convention Center.

My "ride" doesn't get in at the airport 'till 4, and I expect we'll be likely to hit more traffic on 435, so that 5:30 lounge date might be a wee bit late. 😉

Nice thing about staying in the Sheraton is you can pretty much crawl where you need to go. 😀 😀

How long of a drive was it for you?

I will meet you in the bar on Thursday noght I guess. We are driving up in the morning (from Dallas), setting up my booth and then heading over there.
We are staying at the Marriott though, using up those old points I had laying around.

I'm still in Austin. However there will be traffic due to a closed bridge between the airport and the Overland Park area.

I arrive on Thursday around 1:00 and am renting a car because I'm staying at an el cheapo hotel.

Anyone else who wants to join us around 5:30 Thursday is welcome. Just show up and we'll put it all on Mark's tab. 😀

Jeff,

The I 635 and I35 bridges are closed on the north side of town. From the airport I would recommend taking I435 around the west side of town and you can get off at the Nall Ave. Exit and you will be right next to the hotel (Sheraton).

Anyone coming from the south or east and west on I70 will be unaffected by the bridge construction.

Now, my Grandad would disagree with you on that one. He maintained that the first round was always the cheapest on account of more people and less able to calculate accurately later. 😀 😀
